Yixuan Lai is a violinist, violist, educator, and community arts practitioner based in Tucson, Arizona.

She is currently pursuing the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Violin Performance at the University of Arizona, where she also studies orchestral and choral conducting. As a performer, she appears in solo, chamber, orchestral, Baroque, and contemporary music settings throughout the United States, China and Germany.

Beyond the concert stage, Yixuan develops interdisciplinary programs that connect music with history, visual art, culture, storytelling, and community engagement. Her work combines live performance, educational presentation, and audience interaction to create accessible and meaningful experiences for audiences of all ages.

Her recent projects include museum programs, library presentations, school workshops, lecture-recitals, and family-centered educational events. She has collaborated with organizations including the Center for Creative Photography, Children’s Museum Tucson, Cayton Children’s Museum, Pima County Public Library, and Tempe Public Library. She is currently expanding a series of interactive educational programs for children, families, and lifelong learners through partnerships with museums and community organizations across the Southwest.

As both a performer and educator, Yixuan is particularly interested in contemporary music, new works, cultural exchange, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. Through her performances and public programs, she seeks to make classical music more accessible, engaging, and relevant to diverse communities.

Programs are available in both English and Mandarin Chinese.
